Giclée print, 10 x 17", 200 S/N limited edition prints.  Oncorhynchus clarkii stomias

This fish comes from Bear Creek near Colorado Springs and was collected in April of

2012 for me by Colorado Div. of Wildlife.  Bear Creek at the time was the only known

refuge of pure Greenback cutthroat trout, and is on the eastern slope of the Colorado

Rockies, thus draining to the Gulf of Mexico.  In the early 2000's, researchers determined

that other populations of "Greenbacks" were either hybridized with the Colorado River cutthroat

or were Colorado River Cutthroats that had been transplanted from the Pacific side of the

Colorado Rockies.
